    Efficient investment licensing is a positive catalyst for the coal mining industry

    A number of coal producers assess that efficient investment licensing will have a positive impact on national mining, especially in increasing added value.

    Corporate Secretary of PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA), Apollonius Andwie said that regarding investment licensing, PTBA always follows the flow according to regulations and coordinates well with local governments, related technical ministries, and BKPM.

    “PTBA believes that an efficient investment licensing flow will have a more positive impact on the national mining sector, especially in efforts to increase added value and downstream coal mining,” he explained to Kontan.co.id, Wednesday (21/7).

    Similarly, Head of Corporate Communication of PT Adaro Energy Tbk (ADRO), Febrianti Nadira said that if the investment licensing through one door is certainly expected to be able to reduce investment barriers because it will be faster and more coordinated.

    “We hope that the government will give the best decision regarding regulations that support the investment climate, especially in the mining sector, so that this sector can continue to contribute to state revenues,” he said.

    Febrianti emphasized that her party as a government contractor and public company, continues to support and comply with the regulations set by the government and always supports national energy security.

    On the other hand, the Corporate Secretary of PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), Dileep Srivastava said that so far his party had not encountered any significant obstacles in meeting investment goals in the past.

    “However, taking examples from other countries, the one-door policy for licensing is more optimal,” he said.

    BUMI sees the prospect of the mining and metal sector business prospects in the future.Dileep said that apart from being a coal producer, BUMI also supplies coal for two gasification projects at its mining sites.

    In addition, BUMI has also invested in metal projects that have high potential such as gold, zinc, copper, and lead in Indonesia through its business entity PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS).
